Our Waitress was AMAZING! Food was so Good!

I wish I had a picture of the "Big Nasty" Burrito I ate but it was gone before I could take my phone out! I have gone to Downtown Trini's for as long as I can remember family and it is our default Mexican Restaurant to go too! The staff is SUPER friendly and the salsa is to DIE for! Thanks Trini's for always serving the community your best!

I had the big nasty over the weekend, was disappointed they have changed the steak in it. Thinner and not as much flavour

Stopped in for the first time tonight. Friday and things were jumping. The employees deserve a thumbs up, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our dinners and I'd give the "Fried Cheesecake" a 10. One of the best desserts I've had in a long time!

This is one of my favorite destinations for Mexican food. I go out of my way drive out to Sparta to eat here.

Trinis is ALWAYS a grand choice! The food is never disappointing. The service is quick and friendly. The drinks, OH the drinks, they're good! This is one place you will regret not trying.

Mini burrito plenty large. Fried cheese cake and ice cream dessert also plenty for two to share. Yummy and good price.. Friendly staff. Clean, and pleasant atmosphere .

Very good “Tex Mex” and friendly staff. Ive eaten here several times and haven’t been disappointed with food or staff. The salsa is made onsite, I really like their hot salsa. They are also fairly flexible on menu changes. I love authentic Mexican food which this not but it is very good and reasonably priced realizing it is Tex Mex (which they describe it as also). The decor is festive and fun and along with the music it can take your mind off of a dreary winter day:) It’s a great option for Sparta.

Honestly not a good place for authentic or even great food. Service is nice and everyone there seems to know each other. However food leave such to be desired. The only plus side to this place is they can season their meat well. However rice and beans are just... Not great. It looks appealing but leaves much to be desired. I was expecting more as their tacos and corn were amazing during the apple fest but after my visit as a dine in customer it leaves much to be desired. Definitely would rather travel a bit to get better and more authentic Mexican food a little south in grand rapids. However it seems that most people here crave a more American approach to Mexican food, o if tex-mex is your thing then maybe it's a place for you.

Kim our waitress is amazing, remembered us from last time,. Remembered our choice of drinks, WOW!! That's s good start. Made some really good suggestions. Kim is a keeper

If you are looking for a fun time with great drinks and Tex-Mex you have to go to Downtown Trini's. While the food and drinks are awesome, the best part is the heart of the restaurant- Trini and Joe. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home and like you are the most important patron in the place!

This place has the best Mexican food around! I've never had a bad dish here. Not that it matters, you'll be stuffed with chips and their amazing salsa by the time you get your entree. They have really good Margaritas as well!

Went for Trini's for the first time tonight for my daughters birthday and it was such a great experience! Katie, our waitress, was amazing and super helpful. They made my daughter feel special when the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday to her! Even another patron gave her a birthday gift as they were leaving. If you're looking for a restaurant with a family feel, great food and fun this is the place!

I ordered what they call a "Big Nasty". Kinda feel like it was advertised it falsely. Yes, it's big, actually it's HUGE. But it sure isn't "nasty". Best burrito I've ever had. And will have the rest tomorrow. Love this place. Now, who's gonna roll me to the car! #baconbelongsonburritos (the service was better than the food)

Was excite to come for first time with all the talk ..Ordered the Lg wet burrito nothing special I've have better frozen store bought burritos...Margarita was good and service was nice .

Going to Trini's is like going to a friends for dinner. I do not know the owners, though I have met them as they go around the restaurant making everyone feel like family.The wait staff always have smiles and are very attentive. I had the fajitas. Always good. They have specials throughout the week, making it worth the drive.

Food was excellent will eat here when I am back in town again. Had the chicken fajitas.

Great food!! Great prices!! The owners are on the floor everyday to greet and meet customers. The waitstaff shirts have a number on the back that tells you how many years they've been serving for Trini's, didnt see any number under 2 years, amazing and says a lot about a establishment. Best place North of GR for Mexican food!

Trini's is a perfect example of a "hidden gem" within a small town. This is an excellent family-run restaurant with some of the best Mexican dishes I've had anywhere.The atmosphere is festive - dress code is casual, although I have seen some dressed up from other more formal affairs. There are mounted televisions, usually tuned to sports channels, although one monitor is set on Michigan Keno in the bar area.The menu items will please both traditional and vegetarian palettes. The portions are well-sized, big enough to share for who have sized appetites. The soups are especially delicious - Always made fresh. Their chips and salsa are made fresh as well. There are week-day specials, well worth checking before you go. I recommend half-price Margarita Wednesdays - a real winner.

Not a fan of their chips and salsa. But the burrito is amazing. I get the bigger one so I can enjoy leftovers.

Great local place for really good Mexican food. Wide variety of options in the menu. Food came out fast and hot, and the place was busy during the lunch rush hour! I will be back.
